Setting Up:
For an aquarium top thrive and to minimize fish loss you need to be patient and stock you tank slowly. Leave your tank running for a week so that it is mature and will handle introduction of new fish. Ask us to recommend suitable starter fish and the introduce only a few fish at a time every other week.
Equipment Needed:
- Tank
- Light
- Filter
- Heater
- Gravel is your choice but for live plants we recommend that you use a planting substrate and fine gravel. This will allow your plants to thrive.
- If you would like a more natural look, we can create some nice wood features for you, using ricia fluitans, Java moss, Anubias and java fern.
- If you purchase wood from us we would be happy to attach the plants for you.
Fish Species:
We keep a wide variety of tropical fish in stock and the correct set-ups, food and additives to care for them. We keep the most popular fish in stock such as neons, guppys, platies etc and we have a large selection of tetras. We also get a few unusual species in each to keep our stock different and interesting.
Plant Selection:
We have a large selection of tropical plants, some are harder to keep than others. We are always happy to advise you in keeping them and also ways in which to make thrive such as CO2 kits, fertilizers and lighting.
Bunched plants are £2.00 each, or 6 for £10.00
Potted plants are £2.75 each, or 4 for £10.00
Turtles:
We now stock turtles, set-ups are now in, so please ask our advice on the care and maintenance to keep them.
